What is my final product? 

Two hard copies of Final Master Plan, to scale, and scanned (.pdf) plan and 'Constructing Your Garden' checklist on CD sent via snail mail.

How do I build my garden? 

If you are DIY inclined, you can work directly from the Master Plan to build your garden. 
Notes on the plan will assist in the selection of building materials and style, and the general plant notations on the plan will enable your local nursery to provide a selection of plants suited to your area.

Can I hire a contractor to build my garden? 

Yes, if you prefer, the design may be installed by a professional contractor. Please keep in mind that details will need to be developed as you transition from Master Plan to built garden. You may hire a contractor with the skills and experience to develop details as needed during construction, you may hire MODERNBACKYARD or a local designer to assist you with Detail Development and a specific Planting Plan, or you may coordinate with your contractor using your own creativity and research.

How do I choose a contractor? 

A personal recommendation is encouraged. Other possible resources are local nurseries and material suppliers (such as quality stoneyards). If you live in the Seattle area, MODERNBACKYARD can suggest potential contractors.

Do you offer full-service design?

Yes, MODERNBACKYARD enjoys working on several full-service projects each year, which helps keep all aspects of the landscape architectural process real, fresh and evolving.

Do you offer additional services? 

Yes, while a DIY homeowner can work directly from the Master Plan, MODERNBACKYARD is happy to help with design details and a planting plan at additional cost if desired.
